Costa Rica Local Tours was created by someone who grew up in Tamarindo and has spent most of his life connected to the ocean and the local tourism industry.
From an early age, the ocean has been part of everyday life — learning to surf at just 5 years old and later working on boats along the Pacific coast of Guanacaste.
This is not a generic travel website or an agency built from the outside. It’s a local project built from real experience in the places we recommend.
From the Ocean to Local Tours
Over the years, that connection to the ocean turned into hands-on experience across different activities in Tamarindo.
This includes:
• working on sailing boats and catamarans
• guiding snorkeling tours along the coast
• teaching surf lessons
• leading kayaking tours through the Tamarindo estuary
• working on sport fishing boats in the Pacific
Each of these experiences has provided a deeper understanding of what makes a tour truly memorable — and what travelers should expect when booking activities in Costa Rica.
